[ale] IMAP slowness

My I-dislike-rules-by-morons view of the law was that all publicly
traded companies must archive _ALL_ electronic records pertaining to the
comapany for a period of 7 years.

My, and many other  IT peoples view on this has been something like:

"Oh my F*&^#ng god! Now I need to multiply my data storage by about 20
times while finding a solution to the spam problems just to keep every
g)%*$!n EMAIL the bean counters have ever sent or received!"

The tape drive makers and tape makers are elated.
