[ale] SuSE bloated appearance

What is the graphics card, motherboard, CPU, and RAM in the machine?
SuSE 9.1 is very responsive on modern hardware and lots of RAM. KDE is
slower than XFCE but, hey, you have alot more stuff going on. Maybe you
should just run XFCE instead under SuSE. KDE apps will run there and
all the basic software runs fine. The KDE and Gnome menus are available
via the XFCE menu so you really don't lose much unless you depend on
KDE's app integration. Most of us geeks don't ever use that stuff.
