If the company had been smart (y'all listening up?), flu shots for
everyone free of charge and maybe even a $50 bribe.

Three years ago I had two employees. I offered them and my girlfriend
a free flu shot each. They declined; I got one for myself.

I was the only one who didn't get the flu and there certainly was close
contact.

A flu shot is $30. Get one! Tell 'em you get it bad or get it very
easily. Don't allow THEIR incompetence to deprive you of the medical
care you need. They always can grow more or import it from Canada.
In Washington State a company is running "Flu shot charter flights"
to Canada.

(In my case, the above is true and I get one every year without fail
and haven't gotten it for 15-20 years. In years I don't get a shot I'm
guaranteed to be in bed for a week thinking that death would be a relief
-- no sick pay either since I'm self-employed.)
