Aye, SS5 is sparc32.  I ended up sticking with Debian 3.0r2.  It's a lot
more stable now that the 32MB SIMM is in slot 0 and the 8MB SIMM is in
slot 1!  The kernel was tripping out and killing processes left and
right.  The boot sequence used to report two separate SIMMs, now it just
thinks there's one 40MB SIMM in slot 0.  No wonder it was headed for the
trash.  I'll just keep that little tidbit to myself... maybe our
hardware tech support idiot will fsck up our kiosk with the touch-screen
LCD next.

Or maybe I could get his job...
