[ale] postfix problems with mindspring

[Dow Hurst]

Try Chris's solution first.  You have to use SMTP commands 
to send email when interacting with the SMTP server.  It's 
kind of like telnetting to port 80 on a web server and 
typing html commands to make the server do something.  I 
don't have the examples with me.  I bet Chris has the answer.
