[ale] Gnome doesn't seem to like me.

The only difference I can see right off is the last line. 
On the user that it works the last two lines are

(II) Mouse1: ps2EnableDataReporting: succeeded
AUDIT: Sun Jan 11 01:07:11 2004: 5533 X: client 5 rejected from local host

The AUDIT: line is missing on the non-working login.
