Which version of KDE do you have? I don't know where RedHat installs kdelibs, 
but if you still have the rpm somewhere, you could query it, like so:

rpm -qpi -l kdelibs-xxx.rpm

If they put everything in one directory--as they should--then you just:

export KDEDIR=/your/directory

I can tell you, though, that RedHat rpm's are known to totally mangle the 
directory structure for KDE. If you plan to develop in KDE, you should either 
build KDE from source, and trash your RedHat rpm's, or get the rpm's 
available from:
