No, it's an HP Pavillion ZT1180. I got it a few years ago for my wife. I don't 
believe it came with a WinXP CD or Emergency CD - at least I can't find one 
and we kept all software (and I've done this exercise before).

I decided to h*ck with it, and picked up WinXP Home Upgrade, figuring I'd just 
re-install. It won't boot off the new CD. It won't boot off an older Win98 
CD. It did boot off my Norton SystemWorks CD.

I'll try to figure some way to get MSWorks running so my son can finish his 
homework, then have another discussion about saving in RTF format. Oh yeah, I 
also installed the Works filters in Word (don't know if it's Office 97, 98 or 
2K) on my Win2K laptop. It will not read the docs saved in MSWorks for WinXP. 
Frustrating.

Think I'll punt the Pavillion.
