[ale] Script won't assosciate my wireless?

I've recently gotten wireless access in my office.  I'm trying to script
the association to the AP.  I've created a short bash script which
reloads the drivers (Centrino in an IBM Laptop), downs the interface,
and then runs the association.  If I run the script it never associates.
If I put an echo of the exact iwconfig command into the script and run
the command by hand it comes up fine.

Any one have any ideas?
