I was using Jam Studio tablet awhile back under linux. I found that while
it would work, not all of the functions were available- i.e. not all the
buttons on the pen would do what they were supposed to do. This may have
changed, since they now include the Jam Studio drivers in the kernel
distro's now- and when I was using one I had to patch the kernel myself in
order to get it to work. So bear in mind that my information is hardly
up-to-date. :-)

I saw some really nice wacom tablets (known good under X for years now) for
something like $75.00 for one about 2x the size of the Jame studio tablet at
CompUSA, of all places, a few months back.
