You'll definitely want to run "linux mediacheck" from the "boot:"
prompt before doing anything else.  Assuming that all four discs check out,
try "linux ide=nodma" to turn off the CD-ROM DMA while installing.

FWIW, I successfully installed FC2T2 on an old ThinkPad 600E over the
weekend.
