[ale] relocating cvs

Just tried it without copying the CVSROOT over. Same results:
[jvinson]:[spg] cvs update
/opt/cvs: no such repository
the Repository and Root both are correct as well. Any other ideas?

Yes, it's possible.

You said that you can checkout a module, but cannot commit or update
correct? Check the contents of a CVS directory of a checked-out module.
Are the Root and Repository correct?
When you tarred up the repository, did you include the CVSROOT directory
(you shouldn't)?
