While having Emacs under Aqua eliminates 90% of the need for X based
applications on OSeX (: at least for those hermits who haven't yet tried VI
:), there is still that niggling 10% out there and any true Linux fan is
simply NOT going to be happy with a limitation like that. ;-)
Personally, I would like to have certain familiar programs like Kmail and
Worker and Nedit and Gimp. I would also like the interface choices and
flexibility that X window managers offer. An essential for our facility would
be Open Office, as I would LOVE to finish eliminating the viral Micro$haft
products from our OSeX systems; having switched everyone away from Exploiter
use, M$ Orifice is about the last dark hole that needs filling in.
