Bob, It is also good to use if you are wanting to scare the daylights out of
someone to think a virus or something has taken over their system if you
make their system look for the cdrom to boot first then insert the knoppix
cd when they are not looking and are not up and running already. It is a
good gag for some of those winbloze only weenies.
By the way, I am in the market for a laptop also and that is an excellent
suggestion to test it out in the store. Problem for me is I may be getting
one on the internet but am still looking at this time.

Before I bought a Toshiba 5205 from Ckt City, I wanted to make sure that
it would run Linux. I took a copy of Knoppix into the store and tried
to make it boot from the CDROM. I didn't know how to get it to boot
from the CDROM. After asking several clerks I finally found one who said
to hit F12 first and then I could make it boot. It did and looked
beaustiful. It impressed some of the other people there. I bought the
laptop and am running SUSE 8.2 and am really happy with it.
