Again, there's no real difference there.  instead of up2date getting 
files via RHN (ie corporate RH servers) it'll get its updates from the 
worldwide set of more general Linux mirrors.   I've never used up2date 
for updates, FWIW.  I've always either used autorpm or a home-grown 
system for actual production deployment.  Considerably more flexible and 
we weren't dependent on the whims of RH.

If oyu're just talking about automated patches and updates, yes.  If 
there's more to it than that.. then I don't know.
