[ale] Yellow Dog Video Problems

I am sold on the Nvidia closed source drivers.  They are robust and do 
the job for high end graphics.  The TNT line is the lowest card 
supported by the drivers though so your friend won't have great 
performance on games and screensavers.  Not like a new card of the GF4, 
FX line.

I don't know anything about Mac compatibility.  There is a list of 
available drivers under different architectures/OSes at Nvidia's site.  
IA64, IA32 come to mind for Linux.
