Hey Kevin,
If you're looking for automated content translation, you could check into a
company called SysTran (http://w4.systranlinks.com/). Their SYSTRANLinks
service claims to be a turnkey solution for translating web content on the
fly. I've used their document translation tools with fairly good success,
but don't have any direct experience with SYSTRANLinks.
Be forewarned that these types of packages often have difficulty translating
idioms and colloquialisms you often find in English and marketing-speak used
in most web content. Generally, you'll find that anything more than simple
sentances will require some review and clean-up.
You can check out their translation capability at the following website:
http://world.altavista.com/. It allows you to plug in English phrases for
translation into Spanish and a number of other languages, and even enter a
URL to see how that site's content would be translated.
I've found that a good test is to do an English to Spanish tranlsation, then
cut and paste the result back into the text box and translate it from
Spanish to English. This can give you a pretty good feel for the strengths
and limitations of the translation service.
Hope this helps!
Allan

Subject: Bilingual Content
Hey all,
I'm in need of a bilingual content solution for a client of
mine. I have done some searching and found a few tools but
I wanted to solicit the resources of everyone.
English and Spanish are the languages of choice. Basically,
I have some simple web site content that needs to be
readable by both groups. Fairly simple, I just don't want
to recreate the wheel.
Thanks,
Kevin
