Anything's possible, except what isn't.  And unless you're a masochist
sed's probably seldom the best tool for extended munging.  If you're
familiar with perl (or familiar enough with C or shell to feel
comfortable cargo culting from examples) pick up _Perl & LWP_, which
explains how to use perl for web scraping.
