Just the usual friendly Central Meeting reminder...
The ALE Central meeting date for May was moved to this coming Thursday, May
22nd to accommodate classroom schedules for Emory finals. With thanks, as
always, to Harold Beiber's arrangements with Emory Law School, we will be
meeting in the usual Gambrell Hall classroom 1-C at 7:30pm (full directions
at ALE.org).
This month's main presentation will feature Mr. Ryan Matteson speaking
on the topic of Open LDAP:
===========
Open LDAP Software is an open source implementation of the Lightweight
Directory (as in phone book) Access Protocol. It works over standard Internet
Protocols like IP, and can be used as a replacement for the X.500
protocol. This talk will cover OpenLDAP configuration, and will include a
live demonstration of the the OpenLDAP server.
Ryan Matteson is a UNIX administrator with a local ISP. He has been working
with UNIX (tm) and network technologies for the last eight years. When
work doesn't require Ryan's time, he enjoys playing the guitar, riding
his motorcycle, tinkering with his computer lab, or hacking C code.
==========
Thanks for your attention and
we hope to see y'all Thursday.
Sincerely,
Aaron Ruscetta
Associate Moderator,
ALE Central Meeting
