[ale] OT: mac *os 8/9* palmpilot conduit

We need to actually synchronize the data behind the web app with an
existing Palm app.
The way the windows one works is:
- user initiates a sync with the web app
- the web app sends XML to the conduit
- the conduit performs the add/edit/update with the Palm app (Palm's
exiting calendar actually)
- the Palm calendar exports data to the conduit
- the conduit formats it as XML
- and finally sends it up to the web server so that the web app can do
edit/add/delete on its side.

The windows side is moving forward fairly smoothly with the java conduit
kit, and if there weren't a zillion hurdles to moving our Very Important
Mac User from os8 to osX we'd do it in a heartbeat. However, moving him
from os8 to os9 is the best we can do.

Thanks for responding, we're getting really mired on this thing. :)
