I wonder if this resulted from some incompatibility from the new
implementation of POSIX threads lib. I have apps will never start nor
exits, unless I set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 before launching, per Shrike's
release notes.

#an RH 7.2 box. Here is what I do:
#
#1) On RH 7.2 Box:
# # /etc/rc.d/init.d/nfs start
# # exportfs -o rw,no_root_squash 192.168.2.8:/tmp
#
#2) On th RH 9.0 box
# # /etc/rc.d/init.d/nfs start
# # mount -t nfs 192.168.2.5:/tmp /mnt/tmp
#
#
#The problem is the mount hangs in the mount system call. The
#only way to break out of it is to do an init 6. Does anyone
#know what the problem might be? I've updated the RH9.0 box to the
#latest and greatest.

#Thanks,
#Chris
