Don't forget to include the power draw of the monitor!
It is a bit difficult to shut down cleanly without it.

My older "500 watt" unit provides ample power to drive
a mid-tower (350 wt. power supply), a 320 watt monitor,
and the bricks for the 4-port router and the DSL bridge --
long enough for me to stop what I am doing and shut down
cleanly.
