[ale] X10 Cameras and Linux?

I used smarthome to poke around. They have a good comparison chart
which actually showed X10 having the cheapest price on wall light
switches I was looking for. I called X10 directly and found the 4
devices for $39 sale (items normally $13 ea). I placed my order Sunday
via phone. The 8 units (bought 4 appliance moduels for fans and lamps
also :>) arrived last night.

My wife was shaking her head until she saw the boy's bedroom light dim
30% at 8, 8:30 and 9, same with the hall way light, both of which stayed
just barely on until 10:00pm when their bedroom went out completely and
the hall stayed on as a nightlight. She's a happy camper now.

Next is some motion sensors so that if one of them gets up after 9:00
it'll turn the hall light back on for 30'ish mins, etc....

I haven't gotten any X10 spam in quite a while, spam assassin may be
blocking it, haven't checked. I am though oddly enough getting spam to
stop spam emails...... </scratch head>
