Here is what I do on RH7.3

1) Plug in the Sandisk module to USB bus
2) execute: modprobe usb-storage
3) mount /dev/sandisk /mnt/sandisk

I'm done.

If I can eliminate step #2, than I'm closer to success.

Thanks for the auto.mnt line.  I'll give that a try.
