[ale] Filesystems for databases and HA systems

Well gee -

Thinking about your project I got to wondering where all this stuff has gone now so I
went to my old haunts and it looks like CODA development died (because it got too complex) and
switched over to Intermezzo which is a much simpler system. Looks pretty interesting too and is,
apparently, getting a significant amount of real-world use (this was not happening with CODA in
2000). So... I guess it would be silly to use CODA in your project at this time.... however OpenAFS
seems to be moving along so I guess you really need to evaluate your needs to see if Intermezzo's
simplicity provides what you need or if a full-blown AFS solution is more in line with your
expectations. Now I'm really jealous if someone's paying you to do this.... need any help? I can
learn Japanese... ;-)

	good luck,
