Yes. Use Tom's root/boot (http://www.toms.net/rb/) or a recovery CD
(personally, I like knoppix: http://www.knoppix.org/) and boot from a CD
or floppy. Then you can repair your root filesystem. Just make sure
your boot disk/recovery CD has the tools you need, or put them on a
separate partition on your hard drive (but make sure they're statically
linked!).
