Iâm using a Rev. 1 Apple Base station (Graphite) on my home LAN. Â it is plugged into a switch, has a static IP (from my Linux DSL gateway box), and can feed the needs of anything wireless in my system (G4 laptop running OS X, PowerBooks 5300/1400 running OS 8.1 and 9.1 respectively, Dell Latitude running Win2k Pro, 3Com Audrey stuck to a WET-11). Â I still use my wired network from floor to floor (tri-level townhome) when I want to stream multimedia.

I am going to (finally) buy a wireless setup for my house. Â Upon visiting the local Office Max/Depot I see a majority of Microsoft branded devices (I gather they bought someone out). Â I promptly left there and wrote "here".
What are the setups ALEr's use? Â Linksys? Â Belkin? Â M$???
How well to integrate it into DSL or Cable internet? Â (want to use laptop to surf from my lounge chair)
yep, still at work,
Preston
