What he's saying is that when someone clones a proprietary Microsoft
solution, they are including the IP. I disagree. If you build
something that does the same thing, without prior knowledge of the
original implementation, this is not the same. Think Samba.
If what Gates says comes to be accepted, you'd never see competing
products. Microsoft would not have Money, since Quicken already exists.
As usual Gates is a complete idiot. Man I wish the guy would get a real
job...
