You must use m-w.com which says "everything" has 3 syllables, but
dictionary.com has two different pronuciations, one of which has 4
syllables. A crude survey at work (2 respondants) says that "every
pronounces it with 3 syllables, but it should be 4."
I vote to leave it as it is.
Strangly enough, dictionary.com says that the pronuciation differs
according to whether it is used as a noun or pronoun. From their examples
I can't tell which they would say "Everything lost" is.
