[ale] FTP Server Suggestions

Hi all,
I've been recently tasked with setting up a temporary FTP server and was 
wondering what distribution and FTP server would be simple to setup and 
relatively secure.  I am considering gentoo as the distribution as I'm 
quite comfortable with it, but would like any other suggestions.  As far as 
the FTP server (daemon) itself goes I've ruled out wu-ftpd, so suggest away...
