I've never used Suse anything. I nuked *Slackware* to install RH8.0. Slack
with Xfce was quite zippy on this little box. (And don't worry, Jonathan,
I'm still using Slackware for the important stuff :-)

I can get the ISOs for 8.1 beta from RHN. Since I have done nothing with this
machine so far other than boot it into RH8.0, I'd be inclined to just
"nuke & pave" rather than trying to upgrade the existing system. Especially
if it might get my wifi card to work.

Well, my purpose in setting up this box was to play with different distros.
I'll give Suse a try (and Lycoris, and probably some others). But not
Debian. Never Debian :-)
