Hey all.
I brought my home machine to work today, and I noticed a really annoying
problem as soon as I started X:
Fonts look like complete crap.
The problem is, I have changed no settings since leaving my house. When
bringing my computer to work, the only hardware that is different is the
keyboard and monitor. Of course it has something to do with the monitor,
but I can't figure out why only TrueType and monospace fonts are the ones
affected, and why a different monitor would be relevant. Fonts look
absolutely horrible in the actual user-input areas of GAIM, gedit, and
overall in Mozilla. But the interface fonts, as well as other fonts around
the system (Eterm, xterm, xmms, etc.) look just fine.
I don't get it. Any ideas?
