Well, it wasn't this one application.  I tinkered with PHP-MSSQL-SYBASE
connectivity at my previous employer for a few days here, a few days
there, but something always took precedence, and I ended up just
duplicating the data in MySQL to save a migraine.

On the current project, redesigning it IS a potential solution, but it
does take time.  I have to recreate all the secretary's tables in MySQL,
import the data, create the ODBC links, and PRAY that all his fancy
reports and forms work!  Unfortunately, he doesn't believe in primary
keys (he "hates them"!) so that is making this a special challenge.  The
biggest issue I am facing is that he continues to make changes on a
daily basis...but, on a good note, I've already installed and configured
the ODBC on his machine, and now it is just a matter of taking a
Saturday and migrating his data, then creating the links.

It is silly to do all this work, simply so the Intranet page can have a
list of phone numbers and email addresses, but so goes life.
