I STRONGLY suggest sql-ledger. There are some scripts on the site that
allow a fairly easy importation of Quickbooks data into Sql-ledger. It
uses a transactioning database (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and the access if
through a browser so any client can use it.

The application is GPL (Yay!) and the manuals are available for an
annual fee ($150?). Way less that Quickbooks and a better application as
it is really double-entry bookkeeping.
