[ale] LVM -> LVM2?

Hi,

I've been using the Logical Volume Manager under linux 2.4 for a while now
and really like it. I was going to try to upgrade to the 2.6 kernel to see
how it handled on my computer, but quickly realized that LVM isn't quite
the same under the 2.6 kernel. Does anyone have any experience with LVM2?
If I upgrade to LVM2, can I still revert back to my 2.4 kernel if I'm not
ready for 2.6 yet (i.e. is LVM2 backwards compatible?)? Any success/horror
stories would be appreciated. Thanks.
