I am going to attempt to answer some of the SuSE questions on the list
about this problem your having and the nvidia problem. I'll post this
evening after I've had some time to look at my home system. Just to get
you started, you should look up using schemes in SuSE. SuSE has setup a
way to have multiple environments for your boot and login that configure
your system for different networks and locations. This is especially
important for using pcmcia configurations since the config is different
for most laptops between home and work. There was a directory under
/etc in 7.3 for the pcmcia setup and there you could specify multiple
configurations, also you could make LILO have graphical selections for
each entry. That made moving between home and work trivial.
