Agreed. List should be the principle mode of reply. But it should not be
the mandated one. All interactions in this community should be
voluntary.

I vote we let the mailing list admin make the choice as that is the
person who has the access to the software anyway. I will use what ever
broken system is in place unless I am forced to install M$ crap to
access the list. :)
