Looks like you've installed Ximian redcarpet for Debian Woody at some
point, or you've done something else that has installed some ximian
packages.  Try this:
  apt-get install xchat xchat-common

If that gives you the same error, try:
  apt-get install -t stable xchat xchat-common
  
And if that fails, try removing xchat-common first with
"dpkg --purge xchat-common".
