I've got an Athlon XP1800+ with a ThermalRight SK- and a high-speed
Delta Fan (Epox 8-KHA+ Motherboard). Under high loads (number
crunching and kernel compiles) I peak at about 46.5 deg C (measured
with lm_sensors).
What case do you have? This can make a huge difference. Also, are you
using round IDE/floppy cables? I've found that these can make a 2-5 deg C
difference.
