[ale] strange memory leak

The software reports that it is KOrganizer 3.0.3 (using KDE 3.0.4-0.73.1)

But in the middle of trying to identify the problem, I updated nearly
every KDE package on this machine directly from the KDE site. So
the version listed above may or may not be part of the problem.
