[ale] IMAP over HTTP?

Eric,

I use squirrel mail (http://www.squirrelmail.org).

Very full-featured...many plugins....all in all a nice app. And I
restrict access to ssl, so it's relatively secure. In other words, only
port open on my server is ssl. all communication between web server and
imapd takes place on local lan.

Works for me ;-).
