encumbered features to a Linux desktop:
- nVIDIA 3D acceleration
- Windows web fonts
- MP3 audio
- DVD video
- Java runtime environment
- Flash aniation

Even if you're not running Red Hat or Mandrake, it's still a good
checklist of things to add if you're so inclined.

Also covers how to add Debian-style apt to an RPM-based distro and revert
to the default KDE look-and-feel on RH 8.0.
