[ale] Mandrake 9.0 install

A link from google indicated that the only way to do it was to 
explicitly kill the existing window manager, start the one you want, 
then save your session.

I got it done, but it wasn't pretty.  Still, the window list applet does 
not show any windows at all.  Seems completely broken as it doesn't show 
any under a normal gnome session either...

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
