[ale] printer problems

Well I'm still stumped. Basically, it appears that the printer process
just goes braindead. There's no cpu usage whatsoever, but there's a
process sitting out there associated with the print job.

I can only figure that it must be the print driver. What else could it be?

Whatever, I guess this will be my document printer and I'll have to
spring for another for images, or print to the one TWO FLOORS UP.

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
