[ale] Cups strikes again.

Under IRIX the cups install replaces the lp subsystem so the lp commands
interface with cups. Maybe you should not use lpr but lp. The lp man
pages ought to show cups integration in the explanation. Email the cups
mailing list or look at the docs on www.cups.org to see if there is
any info on the Linux installation.
