I just went and took a look.

As stated on one ad playing on an atlanta radio station:

THIS IS THE BIGGEST NO BRAINER IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND!!!

> suggestions?

A quick rundown:

* 1st ten hours per month free
* Max fee $10/month for unlimited usage
* Only $4.95 setup charge.
* No ads, banner, popups, and hopefully no spam either.
* National POPs. Everywhere I checked had a POP.
* Supports Linux because it uses ordinary PPP. It doesn't even require a
special dialer for Windows. While the setup shows Linux RedHat only, it's
clear that any ppp setup can be configured to dial.
* I just tested a local access number. Got right through.

It cost you nothing to try. It cost you nothing to use. The only possible
downfall is that they disappear like all the other Linux friendly free ISPs.
Heck I'd even pay them $5 a month just to keep them going.

My suggestion is just do it. You're only going to use them for backup and since
the transactions are via credit card, you can easily dispute any charges if
you turn out to be dissatisfied.

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely give them a go
