I've been concerned about the same thing. I need to nose through
document amangement websites about which CD-R media to use for important
stuff. I just got through burning a CD-R of my father's recording of
Longfellow's poem "Evangeline" from 1964 (over 70 min) using cdrdao, and
I'm here to tell you that I don't want that stuff decaying. I'm going
to make numerous "safeties" just the same.
