[ale] Screen Freezes at over 480/640!!!!!

Jason,

The most critical question is this: How did you set this machine up for
X Windows? Did you run XConfigurator? Did you enter your monitor
information yourself? Or was it probed and found? What version of
XFree86 got installed? You can find information on supported Digital
graphics cards here:

I don't know Digital machines at all. But if your config isn't working,
you might try running it again and reporting to the list what problems
you see.
