The controller would most likely be 0,0,7 for all devices 0,0,*. Thus,
older SCSI devices attached to a controller could be given targets of 0-6.
Empirically, I can tell you that under ide-scsi, 0,0,0 works if there is
not other SCSI interface, otherwise, the other SCSI interfaces get lower
interface numbers. In my particular case, my CD burner is 1,0,0, because
I have a low-end Symbios SCSI card in there to connect my scanner.
cdrecord -scanbus will remove all doubt.
