Personally, $10-15/hr sounds good to me! I finally made a move from IT back to AT (automotive technology) after an
unsuccessful attempt to find an AS/400 operator job. Now that my house-hunting is over, am going to go for the A+ then
Net+ to try to back up my experience and to make up for the 1year away from IT. If I can get a position with that, I'll
gladly leave the 100 deg shop and my average $13/hr! I quit a job in MD supporting 70+ PC's and the company's
AS/400 msyelf (well, OK, we had a consultant!) thinking I was underpaid. I'll try to not make that mistake again.
